My Reading

Naku te rourou nau te rourou ka ora ai te iwi.  With your basket and my basket the people will live.

This section is where I reflect on my reading –  the good, the bad and the ugly.  I encourage my students to share their reading experiences online using the Goodreads website.   This section is where I walk the talk.
My reading, of course, is closely linked to my learning and ultimately impacts my teaching.  This in turn encourages further reading. No inquiry circle is complete, or even possible without reading.   Teachers who do not read,  hold themselves back.   Students who do not read, hold themselves back.   Reading is an essential part of any meaningful reflection progress.
I read a lot. I read everyday.  I read a lot of blog articles and reflect on them here and also on Twitter.  I read a lot of educational books. I read a lot of fiction books.  Because I am an English teacher, I read a lot of young adult fiction.   I like to reflect on my reading, and this blog is a space where I collect my thoughts.
